Facilities

Since becoming Barn Owl Glade, we have worked really hard to improve the facilities on site to meet the needs of our guests. We hope our facilities benefit both our glamping guests in the Pods and our existing cottage guests. We welcome any feedback so if any of our guests have any suggestions as to how the facilities could be improved further please do let Nick know.

CLUBHOUSE

The Clubhouse is where our communal wi-fi is located. The connection is excellent and extends to the Games Room and Outdoor Terrace, an ideal spot for Mums and Dads to do a bit of browsing whilst supervising the little ones on the playground or in the Games Room. Our Clubhouse includes an honesty bar selling cold drinks & ice creams and is also stocked with a range of useful items for guests to use and borrow.

Items usually available:

Firewood, kindling, firelighters.
Cold drinks, ice-creams and snacks (including marshmallow toasting kits).
Some cupboard items for the self-catering accommodation – salt and pepper, olive oil etc
Bird feed for any guests who would like to use our bird feed stations
Bbq coals and other bbq items
Extra fans, cutlery, crockery etc

GAMES ROOM

The Games room is a large airy space in the Clubhouse. Ideal for all kinds of fun and games, these include 'console corner' with a Super Nintendo entertainment system, dartboard, DVD library (to take back to your pod or cottage) and board games. There is also an Information corner with desktop computer for Googling local amenities etc aswell a healthy supply of leaflets, maps etc. Also comfortable tables and chairs for sitting and browsing the internet. Once guests have booked, they will be provided with the code.

FIRECIRCLE

A purpose built firepit with log seating surrounding. An ideal spot to sit after dinner and toast marshmallows or have a sing song. All items to start the fire can be found in the Clubhouse.

All of our facilities are intended to be for the use of all our guests both cottage and pod. The only exception to that is the Firecircle. For reasons of privacy the circle is only for use of the Pod guests.

SWIMMING POOL AND PLAY AREA

Our heated Indoor Swimming Pool is located slightly away from the accommodation areas of the site. It is well signposted and there is a WC and changing room adjacent to the pool. The pool is open from April-October each year up to the end of the October half term and guests are encouraged to use it in their own groups. In some circumstances it may be possible to book the pool for totally private use. Please note this may not be possible in busy periods.

The play area is another new addition and we hope families and their children enjoy using it, as much as Paddington did!
